A stylish and compact silver-plated cocktail shaker in the Art Deco style from the early 20th century. The shaker breaks into three sections, the main body, top with grille inside and the lid which can double as a measuring cup.
Art Deco was a popular design style in the 1920s and 1930s characterised especially by sleek geometric or stylised forms. It represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. For that reason silver cocktail and barware were popular categories of goods to reflect the style of the time.
