Most stylish and special Art-Deco-period silver and enamel vanity set in its original fitted green leather travel case, lined with green satin. Each piece is finely decorated with beautiful stylised black enamel flying fish, blowing bubbles, against a pale blue green ground. The dresser mirror that is fitted into the case lid is similarly decorated.

This fabulous set comprises a dresser mirror fitted into the case lid, four brushes, hand mirror, round glass cosmetic jar, rectangular glass box, comb and shoe buttoner.

Art Deco was a popular design style in the 1920s and '30s characterised especially by sleek geometric or stylised forms. It represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. For that reason silver cocktail and barware were popular categories of goods to reflect the style of the time.
