First designed in 1978, De Vecchi's sculptural Phoemina silver vase was conceived keeping the idea of three-dimensionality in mind, using an irregular inflated silhouette reminiscent of the human face. A partner to De Vecchi's Diana silver vase, the naturalistic form becomes abstract and vice-versa.
With or without flowers, the expressive silhouetted faces of the Phoemina and her sister, with ruffled locks and light spots that run along the irregular outline, make them an evocative duo.
