A mid-Victorian-era antique wine jug with clear, hand-blown glass body to see the colour and clarity of the wine, and a crisp starburst has been cut into the base. The jug has hand chased silver mounts decorated with panels of foliage and floralwork while the thumbpiece is hand pierced with a decorative scrolled leaf design. The jug has applied bead pattern mounts and a C-shaped scroll handle.
