An exceptional quality William IV silver tea and coffee service comprising a teapot, coffee pot, cream jug and sugar bowl. Each piece is circular in form with broad inverted fluting around the lower sections and a band of acanthus leaves with arabesques above. All handles are capped by high-relief acanthus leaves and the tea and coffee pots each have an attractive floral finial.

Each piece is engraved with a family crest of a forearm holding a crown, and the cream jug and sugar bowl are both gilded inside.

Under the rules of the UK government's Ivory Act 2018, this silver tea and coffee service has had its original ivory insulators replicated exactly and replaced with a modern ivory substitute.
