Four-piece Art Deco style silver tea set, comprising silver teapot, hot water jug, milk jug and covered sugar bowl. The elegant swan neck teapot spout means that it pours tea perfectly. The stylish panelled bodies rest on collet bases and the handles and finials are made from pear or apple wood.

The silver hot water jug could be alternatively used as a coffee pot.

Art Deco is one of the first truly international styles is a style of design that first appeared in France just before World War I. Its name is short for Arts Décoratifs and combined modern styles with fine craftsmanship plus expensive and rare materials such as ebony and ivory. Art Deco represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. In the 1930s Art Deco became more subdued and a sleeker form of the style emerged featuring curving forms and smooth, polished surfaces.
