Pair of small hand-raised solid silver silver candlesticks featuring classic design cues of the Art Deco style and made by Robert Edgar Stone, a silversmith and designer who produced both distinctive and high quality silverware.

The candlesticks are of cast construction,a process in which molten silver is poured into a clay or plaster mould in order to create fine and intricate three-dimensional designs on silverware. The candlesticks have removable wax drips or nozzles, making them easy to clean.

Art Deco, short for Arts Décoratifs, was a style of visual arts, architecture and product design that first appeared in Paris in the 1910s and flourished in the United States and Europe during the 1920s to early 1930s. During its heyday, Art Deco represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. The designs featured rare and expensive materials, such as ebony and ivory, and exquisite craftsmanship.
