A highly stylised six-piece Art Deco style silver condiment set, comprising pairs of salt cellars, pepper pots and mustard pots. With their stepped, panelled forms their design personifies the Art Deco era. The mustard pots and salt cellars are fitted with removable cobalt blue glass liners, and the salt and mustard spoons are included.
Art Deco was a popular design style in the 1920s and '30s characterised especially by sleek geometric or stylised forms. It represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. For that reason silverware for dining and entertaining were popular categories of goods to reflect the style of the time.
