Lovely pair of silver gravy or sauce boats made during the latter part of the 18th century in the neoclassical style. Made in a heavy gauge of silver, they are both elegant and graceful in design, the rims and bases decorated with applied Reed & Ribbon pattern mounts.

These antique silver gravy boats epitomise many of the neoclassical design cues: restraint, order, technical precision, balance, an emphasis of form, clarity and dignity. It means that they will fit seamlessly into a traditional table setting or a pared-down modern one.

Each silver sauce boat has a capacity of 16 fl oz (450 ml).
