A good quality silver model of a race horse, won by Lomond, an American-bred (Kentucky), Irish-trained, thoroughbred racehorse and sire, in a standing pose. With a hand-chased textured finish to the body, and excellent realistic detail, the horse is mounted on a wooden plinth with silver plaque. The plaque is inscribed:

LOMOND
30th April 1983

This is the date of the Classic 2000 Guineas at which it was victorious, ridden by Pat Eddery.

This model can have a new plaque supplied, to be be engraved with a personal inscription or, in the event of this becoming a racing prize, the winner's details.

Lomond's sire, Northern Dancer, was the most successful of the 20th century and "one of the most influential sires in thoroughbred history".

Lomond made only seven lifetime starts but went on to sire five racehorses that won major races in Ireland, USA, Britain and France.
