Although thought of as quintessentially British, the pheasant is a native of Asia and it is believed pheasants were introduced to Britain by Roman officers who bred them for the table.
Our heavy quality models are cast in sterling silver using the traditional, centuries-old technique of lost wax casting where molten silver is poured into a mould that has been created by means of a wax model. Once the silver has solidified, the wax model is melted and drained away. Each of our models is then individually hand chased to produce the lifelike characteristics seen in the finished bird.
