Pair of tall mid-century (20th century) sterling silver candlesticks with elegant tapering stems. The candleholders are sterling silver while the cast and hand-chased stems beneath are gilded sterling silver featuring a decorative bark finish; a familiar mid-century design cue.
This is a rare design by modernist designer and silversmith, Richard Lawrence Geere who also designed for Aspreys and Stuart Devlin, before establishing his own workshop where he undertook various private commissions.
