This pair of exceptionally heavy sterling silver candlesticks have been cast in the classic Queen Anne style that was popular at the turn of the 18th century. The plain, domed octagonal bases rise to baluster stems which in turn feature stepped octagonal knops to the upper and lower portions.
Since cast silver candlesticks are not filled or weighted, they can be easily dipped in hot water to melt away any wax.
