Stylish silver cocktail shaker in a pleasing shape from the Art Deco period and of a particularly good gauge of silver. The top pull-off part of the body features a silver ribbed decoration and the strainer inside is gilded. The removable cover has a knurled mount and a smart engine turned decoration encircling the top rim.

Art Deco was a popular design style in the 1920s and '30s characterised especially by sleek geometric or stylised forms. It represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. For that reason silver cocktail and barware were popular categories of goods to reflect the style of the time.
