Very rare antique silver table lighter in the form of a dragon with antelope horn for its body and tail. This style of cigar lighter, typically made for a military mess table, was almost always made in silver-plate and it is incredibly rare to find a sterling silver example.

Victorian lighters were designed with a wick that burned continuously after the meal and from which the gentlemen would light their cigars. In the case of this fire breathing beast, the wick protrudes from the mouth. One of the dragon's feet is resting on a flaming grenade, a reference to its military origin.
