Impressive and highly decorative antique silver tea set designed beautifully created in 1858 and reflecting the effusive style of that mid-Victorian era in a pleasing spherical form. This tea set is accompanied by a silver-plated coffee pot made by the same maker and which could double as a hot water pot.

Each piece is embossed in high relief and fine detail, featuring bountiful floral decorations and further embellishment with finely hand-engraved shields and entwined decorative initials within each panel.

The interiors of the milk jug and sugar bowl are gilded, while the teapot and coffee pot have insulators in the handles to prevent them getting hot. Both the teapot and coffee pot pour perfectly from their swan-necked spouts. There's no better way to serve tea.

Note: Under the rules of the UK government's Ivory Act 2018, this silver tea set and silver-plated coffee pot qualify for an ivory exemption certificate.  If required, the ivory parts may be replicated and replaced with an ivory substitute at no additional cost.
