An imposing handmade antique silver tea and coffee set, comprising silver teapot, coffee pot, sugar bowl and milk jug, all hand engraved with fine detail and epitomising the exuberance of the mid-Victorian era and the influences of the Orient.
This antique silver tea service has scroll decorations incorporated into the handles, spouts and bases, as well as the engraved and panelled bodies. The domed covers of the pots are each surmounted by detachable finials and the handles of the pots have insulators to prevent the handles getting hot. The interiors of the sugar bowl and milk jug are gilded.
The height given is for the silver coffee pot. The silver teapot is 220 mm (8¾") tall and total weight of this silver tea and coffee set is 82.37 troy oz (2562g).
Note: Under the rules of the UK government's Ivory Act 2018, this silver tea and coffee set qualifies for an ivory exemption certificate. If required, the ivory parts may be replicated and replaced with an ivory substitute at no additional cost.
