Highly decorative antique silver teapot of circular and compressed form with cast acanthus leaf skirt beneath the rim, hand chased cover, body and base, and the whole teapot is profusely decorated with flowers, scrolls and exotic birds. The detachable finial and the spout are both cast and hand chased in fine detail and the handle mirrors the hand chasing. The spout features a fine eagle head opening and classical mask beneath.
An insulator prevents the handle getting hot.
There is a plain cartouche on one side of the teapot's body, which could be engraved.
