Art Deco period shallow fruit bowl decorated with typical Art Deco forms; a sloping and stepped pedestal base, the compressed bowl with it's applied, cast, geometric panelling indicate its era. The bowl makes a smart table centrepiece, flowers or fruit, either would work.
Art Deco was a popular design style throughout Europe in the 1920s and '30s characterised especially by sleek geometric or stylised forms. It represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress.
