A particularly heavy and entirely handmade set of 3-prong Rattail silver cutlery for 36 place settings. Every piece was made in 1894 by Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater (specialist hand-makers of cutlery) apart from three teaspoons and two coffee spoons.

One additional basting spoon by Francis Higgins,1893 is included in the service and the above pieces are supplied in a fitted wooden canteen.

Modern silver table knives, with stainless steel blades making them suitable for putting in the dishwasher, are included, and supplied in tarnish-proof cutlery rolls. Rattail pattern knives are the obvious match but Plain Pistol, Old English Pip, Octagonal Pistol and Old English all complement the Rattail service very well
