This is a particularly fine pair of heavy-gauge, cast silver candlesticks created in the William III style popular in England at the end of the 17th century. The silver candlesticks rest on square, cut-corner bases with and feature gadroon borders and knopped stems decorated with fluted sections; all of a high quality finish.
