Pair of unusual silver vases in the form of wide-mouthed fish, each resting on a domed and stepped base and decorated in the English manner with bands of hand-chased acanthus leaves, fluting and gadroon pattern.
The bodies of the fish are decorated with detailed scale work and the pair was almost certainly made for the late 19th century English market.
