Set of six antique French rococo dwarf silver candlesticks
Set of six French 1st quality cast and hand chased silver dwarf candlesticks made by premier royal silversmiths, Tétard Frères of Paris, at the end of the 19th century. The set is of exceptional quality in regard to the detail, workmanship and standard of silver used 950/1000 purity.
Of rococo style, these candlesticks are exuberantly decorated with swirling foliage and floral-work in high relief, interspersed with stylised shell decorations that personify the fashionable design of the era.
Their small stature means they don't block the view of guests at the dining table, and they look equally beautiful as a decorative set or scattered on a table or sideboard.
Each candlestick is fitted with a detachable nozzle, making it easier to clean.
