This antique Victorian wine jug has a round cut crystal body featuring three bands of lattice cut detail separated by sections of subtle leaf and flower decoration. The silver collar is hand-chased with bas-relief decoration of scrolling foliage with plain unengraved shields on either side. There is a band of openwork arabesques connecting the collar to the body, and the handsome cast handle, decorated with overlapping leaf pattern, is connected to a ring that encircles the round foot by a strip of shaped and decorated silver.
This attractive jug will comfortably hold a full bottle of wine.
