Made during the Edwardian era at the beginning of the 20th century, this is an impressive sterling silver serving tray and epitomises the wonderful workmanship that was being employed right up to the end of the the first World War. The tray's surface is decorated with finely detailed hand engraving, incorporating roses, thistles and shamrock - the floral symbols for England, Scotland and Ireland - as well as ferns and foliage. The border and handles are heavy-cast, pierced and beautifully hand chased with more roses and their leaves, other flowers and entwined branches.

This is one of the most substantial trays we have acquired and is perfectly suited to a five-piece silver tea and coffee service.

This impressive silver tray is not available to purchase online. Please contact us if you would like more information or are interested to buy it.
