Hand-raised and hand-chased sugar bowl and milk jug. Each reflects their Arts & Crafts heritage with finely detailed cast and applied girdles of woven wirework patterns set against a lattice-effect background, and enclosed with two bands of applied twisted wire.

We also have a matching Liberty & Co sterling silver teapot.

Opened in 1875, Liberty became known for worldly, cultured goods with avant-garde and exotic designs. Indeed, Oscar Wilde affirmed: "Liberty is the chosen resort of the artistic shopper". During the 1890s, Liberty built strong relationships with many British silver designers such as William Hair Hassler and the renowned silversmith Archibald Knox, both of whose silverware epitomised the styles of the Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts movements.
