This lovely silver muffin dish has a round base with hot-water jacket and a tall domed lid. The water is filled through an opening in the side with screw-fitting cap. It has two cast leaf and scroll handles and and a shell and scroll border. The lid is hand-chased with textured leaves and four blank cartouches.

This piece could also be used as a butter dish with cold water in the base to keep the butter chilled.
