Handmade sterling silver pepper grinder modelled in the shape of a traditional capstan, the spool-shaped post used for winding ropes and cables in shipyards.
The pepper mill is fitted with its original and excellent Peugeot steel grinding mechanism, considered the finest maker of pepper grinders, testified by the fact it will still work perfectly after 125 years of use!
