Victorian hand-forged silver cutlery in the Fiddle Thread and Shell pattern set for 12 settings. This is a charming design with the fiddle shape, thread borders and shell motif. On the reverse, shells appear on the head and heel.

The design dates from about 1810 gaining popularity in colonial America, and is also very popular today. All pieces are made by one of the finest cutlery makers, George Adams, in London 1846 to 1881 and the set comprises:

12 tablespoons
12 table forks
12 dessert spoons
12 dessert forks
12 teaspoons
2 gravy ladles
2 basting spoons
1 pair of fish servers
1 butter server

Since antique knives rarely survive, the set is complete with 12 pairs of new matching dessert and table knives with stainless steel blades making them dishwasher safe.
