Magnificent model of a rhinoceros, handmade from sheet silver and hand chased in fine detail. The model was made in India for the Assam Regiment which was founded in 1941 and is based on their regimental insignia of a standing rhino.
As is often the case with Indian silver, the maker of this model is not recorded.
