Pair grand 3-light cast silver candelabra
2109
Magnificent pair of cast three-light candelabra of the most superb quality. They are adorned with high relief patterns of leaves and scrolls and each is mounted on three scrolling feet. The removable arm sections are similarly decorated and have an attractive openwork central finial. Each is engraved with a coat of arms and family crest of a boar's head on a sword.
Possibly the oldest manufacturing silversmith in the world, the origin of this business having been established circa 1680, Barnard Brothers made pieces of the finest order. The large silver-gilt baptismal font used at the baptisms of members of the British Royal Family is one example.
