Charming antique silver and nephrite jade letter opener and page marker made by premier silversmiths Sampson Mordan at the end of the 19th century. This workshop was famous for the fine quality craftsmanship of small silver articles. The silver handle in the form of an owl has finely detailed feathering and is inset with bright glass eyes.
