Set of six sterling silver lobster picks
Set of six sterling silver lobster picks with a two-pronged fork on one end, and the shallow scoop at the other to extract the meat from the deepest parts of the lobster - legs, claws and other small parts. This set of silver lobster picks feature nicely embossed images of lobsters on the central buttons.
By the Victorian period started in the 9th century, touching food at the dining table was considered bad manners, except in specific certain circumstances. The 19th century refinement lead to the creation of many pieces of specific and specialised dining utensils which started to appear on the tables of the middle and upper classes. Lobster crackers and picks were such an example and continue to be used today.
