Useful five-piece Victorian antler carving set with silver-plated mounts, comprising: a large, meat carving knife & fork; smaller game carving knife & fork; plus a sharpening steel.
All pieces have steel blades and tines, while the antler handles are mounted with silver-plated acanthus leaf ferules. Steel blades are incredibly sharp and easy to sharpen and it is essential not to leave them wet after washing them to prevent rusting.
The carving set was retailed by W Briggs & Co, Andrew Street, Sheffield and comes in its original presentation case.
