Princess No 2 is a rare and much sought after 19th century pattern and a variant of the King's shape family of cutlery patterns. The design was a private pattern, exclusively made by the workshop of George Adams, hence not many sets were made or are available. This fine service is in good, usable condition; the bowls of the spoons and the fork prongs are thick and durable.

It is believed to have been designed by Mary Chawner of one of the leading flatware specialists Chawner & Company and led by George Adams who made this set.

12 tablespoons
12 table forks
12 dessert spoons
12 dessert forks
12 teaspoons

1 soup ladle
2 sauce sauce ladles
2 salt spoons
2 egg spoons
1 butter knife

Since antique silver knives rarely survive, the service is completed with 12 pairs of modern knives with silver handles the complementary Queen's pattern. The knives are fitted with stainless steel blades making them suitable for putting in the dishwasher.
