An exceptionally fine and heavy rose bowl with Monteith style rim and fluted body. The scalloped edge incorporates architectural scrolls and cherub masks, cast in exceptional detail. The beautifully detailed lion masks on either side have hinged leaf and scroll handles held in their open roaring mouths. The scrolls and fluting seen on the rim and body are repeated on the round domed foot.
This bowl is one of the heaviest we have seen for its size.
