A magnificent antique Edwardian glass and silver centrepiece. The elegant boat-shaped glass bowl is cut to resemble rock crystal and sits on a cast and openwork silver base that is profusely decorated with myriad scrolling tendrils and flowers. The ornate silver decoration continues across the rim of the glass body and finishing with curled scrolls at either end.

Owing to the beautifully cut design on the glass, this bowl is perfect as a purely decorative piece. Lighting it would further enhance its beauty and bring out the detail. Equally, this substantial bowl would be ideal for holding fruit or displaying flowers.
