A pair of mid-century (20th century) silver candlesticks, with tapering stems, the candleholders of silver, the cast and hand chased stems beneath are gilded silver in a decorative bark finish.
These are a rare design by modernist designer and silversmith, Richard Lawrence Geere; born in 1932, he served his apprenticeship at Ramsden and Roed, and then worked for Aspreys and Stuart Devlin before establishing his own workshop where he undertook various private commissions.
