Impressive pair of antique 1st quality (950 standard) French silver candelabra of cast construction. The five-light candelabra are decorated in the Baroque style, reminiscent of designs first made popular in France and England during the early part of the 18th century. Both candlesticks and detachable branches are beautifully hand chased in fine detail.

The impressive height of these candelabra enables them to spread the warm candlelight of ten candles widely across the dining table or sideboard. The four-light arms can be removed and the central candlesticks used as a pair on their own, and .

Boin-Taburet was founded in 1873 by antique dealer, Georges Boin, and jeweller, Émile Taburet. The firm played a key role in reviving interest in Louis XV-style silverware in Paris during the late 1880s and was awarded a gold medal at the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris.
