Handmade late-Victorian silver dresser or table box, nicely hand chased with scrolls, foliage and floral work on the cover and sides. The interior is gilded and the lid hinged. It makes a very decorative antique silver box for holding trinkets or small pieces of jewellery. Perhaps a christening gift for a girl where a name or initials or name could be engraved on the plain cartouche on the lid.
