This spectacular three-piece silver-plated centrepiece suite was made by Kay and Co circa1865 and comprises a large oval centrepiece and two smaller round comports.

Each piece has a central oak tree column with oak leaves and acorns supporting the glass dishes. The oval section has ivy growing up the truck and cast figures of classical ladies in relaxed seated poses at either end. The side pieces each have a model of a greyhound, one seated, one standing, with ferns surrounding the trunks.

Dimensions given are for the oval centrepiece. The pair of stands are 260mm tall and 220mm diameter.
