Mid-century style silver & enamel cigar humidor by Gerald Benney
Mid-century style silver & enamel cigar humidor by Gerald Benney
A spectacular humidor by Gerald Benney, exhibiting all the qualities that make his work so desirable. It is an exceptionally heavy piece with simple oblong body and a striking monochrome black enamel lid. The inside of the box is cedar lined and it retains its original humidifying capsule featuring the bark textured finish for which Benney is known. The hidden underside of the box is similarly decorated with the bark design, a sign of the amazing attention to detail that it apparent in this wonderful piece.
This humidor originally had bun feet made of ivory but these have been replaced with faux ivory to ensure it is compliant with worldwide ivory laws.
This is one of the finest pieces by Gerald Benney we have ever seen.
