Modern sterling silver cigar or cigarette box with smart engine-turned decoration on the lid and an empty rectangular shield which could be engraved. The sides of the box are plain and the box is mounted on four silver bracket feet.
As was traditional, the box is lined with lining in the lid and base in order to keep the contents fresh, and there's a central cedarwood partition that can be adjusted or removed to suit the size of contents.
As we consider new purposes for old and antique silverware, we find cigarette boxes are often to be the perfect place for storing two packs of playing cards.
