Hand raised silver biscuit box in a particularly heavy gauge of silver and exuding all the classic design cues of the Art Deco era. The biscuit box body is of a nicely rounded oval form with chased shallow lobes to the quarters of the body, and the box rests on a raised and shaped oval fluted base.

The domed pull-off lid is surmounted by a detachable boxwood finial carved of geometric form. Of course, this excellent box need not be confined to storing and serving biscuits; sweets and chocolates are perfect too.

The underside is engraved with the facsimile signature of R E Stone (Robert Edgar Stone), an English silversmith who worked in the mid-20th century and was noted for his hand-crafted commissions. The hallmark is his, marked underneath and also part-marked to the lid bezel.
