In a lovely organic rounded form, this is a charming pair of antique handmade silver basket salt cellars featuring maidenhair leaf engraving, typical of the Victorian era, and ball finials surmounting the basket handles.
The two salt spoons were made by Henry Matthews in Birmingham in 1904 and are similarly gilded.
