A pair of early 20th century oval boat-shaped sterling silver bread baskets with pierced sides of slatwork and medallions at either end. The baskets feature crisp applied French gadroon pattern mounts along the rims.
Of course, these silver bread baskets do not need to be confined to serving bread; croissants, pastries and bread rolls would be equally suitable.
