Charming and superior quality antique sterling silver model of a long eared owl. This charming bird has been made in the traditional, centuries-old technique of lost wax casting where molten silver is poured into a mould that has been created by means of a wax model. Once the silver has solidified, the wax model is melted and drained away. He has been hand chased to produce the lifelike feathered effect seen in the finished piece.
