Gorgeous silver hand mirror with a bright and attractive yellow enamel back with a delicate engraved pattern fanning out from the centre and a scrolling leaf design around the perimeter. Importantly, the enamel is in perfect condition as is the original bevelled mirror.

Vitreous enamel is a decorative, glass-like coating fused on to a metallic base, historically applied on gold, silver and copper. The earliest known enamelled objects were made in 13th century BC during the Mycenæan period.
