Elegant antique hand-pierced and engraved silver fish serving tongs with mildly curved blades and hand-forged fiddle pattern handle, plus a sprung thumb mechanism to a slender supporting blade.

Designed for serving fish at the table, these silver fish tongs are a derivation of the original fish slice which from about the 1750s, and was popular until the late Victorian period.
