In a very rare 19th century design named after Joseph Paxton, the designer of the Crystal Palace for the Great Exhibition in England in 1851, this is a lovely hand-forged antique set of silver cutlery for 12 people. The wreath-like design, incorporates scrolling foliage to form a shield on each piece, encompassing an unidentified family crest

Antique knives in any antique cutlery set rarely survive. We have completed this service with 12 pairs of modern silver table and dessert knives in the Charles II Laceback pattern which are a good complementary match to the set. Fitted with stainless steel blades, they are dishwasher safe.
